Traditionally
municipal guidelines have the sewer systems in the middle
of the road. Do you require amendments to these guidelines?
If so, to what standard?
Our SBS™ collection system can be installed
in locations specified under existing municipal guidelines
and standards. In new developments, where roads have
not yet been constructed and local disruption is not an issue,
the location of the collection system has little or no affect
on the cost of its implementation. Central alignment
can be provided in combination with common trench with the
water main. In communities requiring re-servicing, we
suggest that the municipality assess the possibility of approving
the design of the collection system in the road allowance at
the side/boulevard area of existing roadways. Location
standards/preferences can be provided by the municipality and
are easily reflected in the final design.
