Clearford Industries Inc. Announces Appointment of Ian Ross as a Director

Ottawa, Ontario – (March 4, 2008) – Clearford Industries Inc. (“Clearford”, TSX-V: CLI) announced today the appointment of C. Ian Ross to its Board of Directors. Mr. Ross is currently a Director at PetValu Inc., Menu Foods Income Fund, Ontario Power Generation, and Comcare Canada Limited. Mr. Ross has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Toronto. Rod Bryden, Chairman of the Board at Clearford commented, “The appointment of Ian Ross adds his extensive business experience and insight to Clearford’s Board of Directors, and we welcome his addition.”

As part of his compensation, Mr. Ross has been granted options to buy 50,000 shares at forty cents a share, vesting 25,000 at each of the first and second anniversary of his appointment.

Upon the appointment of Mr. Ross to the Board, Michael Gerrior has resigned as Director. Mr. Gerrior had agreed to sit on the Board until a suitable independent Board member could be found. “Mr. Gerrior has been a valued contributor on our Board, and we thank him for his commitment to Clearford,” said Mr. Bryden.
