Acquisition expands Clearford’s product and service offering
Clearford took a big step in November 2017 to create a new kind of water company that delivers unified water infrastructure solutions with sector-leading efficiency and reliability.
The acquisition of Koester Canada and Team Aquatic has expanded Clearford’s business model beyond the Clearford One™ system. The award-winning wastewater system will remain a core offering of the company, but the market will increasingly recognize Clearford as a leader in decentralized water treatment and operations.
Treatment solutions
The Clearford Koester Canada treatment solutions group designs and fabricates innovative technologies and modular systems for municipal, commercial and industrial water treatment applications. Each packaged M-brane™ solution is customized to achieve the greatest cost and space efficiencies, and ease of operation over the life cycle of the system. Components are prefabricated and tested in Clearford’s manufacturing facility prior to shipping to sites across North America for rapid and reliable deployment.
The Clearford Koester Canada group has recently moved into a 30,000-square foot manufacturing facility and offices located in Hamilton, Ontario. “This facility gives us triple the production capability over our previous space for fabricating containerized and skid-mounted treatment solutions,” said Richard Nie, Executive VP of Clearford. “The new facility is also centrally located for highway and rail shipping with direct US border access.”
Water systems operations
In addition to treatment solutions, Clearford’s services now include comprehensive water systems operations and maintenance. The Clearford Waterworks division is active across Ontario as the largest operator of privately owned communal water and wastewater treatment systems in the province. Clearford’s team of licensed operators and support staff manage the daily and special operational activities for facilities ranging from domestic potable water and wastewater systems to landfill leachate treatment. We offer regulatory compliance support, technical expertise and troubleshooting, and asset management services for more cost-effective water management solutions.
