Clearford and its Subsidiary Take a Closer Look at the Federal Sector

Synergy sparks as Clearford and UV Pure®, its subsidiary, make a strategic expansion into the federal sectors.

While not the first contract with a federal client, Clearford’s commitment to providing support services to the Facilities Maintenance Operations contractor (FMO) at a Department of National Defence (DND) site (the Site) marks a strategic expansion into this relatively new sector for Clearford. Providing water and wastewater operational support to this site demonstrates Clearford’s ability to navigate the complexities of federal requirements and rigorous security protocols. Synergizing with its subsidiary, UV Pure® Technologies, the duo successfully implemented innovative and efficient water treatment solutions, solidifying their commitment to sustainability and providing Safe water, always.

Overcoming Stringent Security Measures

Gaining security clearance for personnel was paramount for Clearford’s involvement at the federally regulated site. To gain clearance to be on the premises, Clearford’s Chief Security Officer ensured all on-site personnel underwent rigorous background checks to permit access to the designated operational areas. Navigating security clearance was a new level of contractual agreements, showcasing Clearford’s adaptability to project requirements and overall commitment to meeting stringent federal security standards.

Commitment to Client-Centric Service

This project represented a significant federal project for Clearford as they assumed the role of Overall Responsible Operator, providing essential oversight, operational support, and emergency response capabilities. This project exemplifies Clearford’s adaptability and capability to tailor solutions to meet diverse client needs within various sectors.

Clearford recognizes that clients have varying needs and preferences when it comes to water and wastewater treatment solutions. Providing operational support services for this project exemplifies the commitment to client-centricity. Unlike some companies offering a one-size-fits-all approach, Clearford tailors its services to integrate with a client’s existing or new operations, whether they have in-house staff for Clearford to support or where Clearford provides full operations.

At the Site, Clearford’s role provides support to the existing in-house operator, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of service. This approach offers clients peace of mind, knowing Clearford can readily address staffing challenges and ensure uninterrupted service – a critical factor for facilities that have limited internal resources operating the site. Clearford’s hub-based model strategically maps out a readily available pool of qualified operators, mitigating the risk associated with staffing challenges and ensuring the client’s facility continues to operate efficiently even in unforeseen circumstances.

Successful Collaboration with UV Pure

A key factor in the project’s success was Clearford’s collaboration with UV Pure. Together, the ultraviolet disinfection (UV) equipment on-site was significantly enhanced by upgrading the systems with UV Pure’s state-of-the-art UV disinfection system, the Hallett™. Effective collaboration with FMO helped gather necessary design information for the upgrade and ultimately established a well-coordinated team effort between the contractor, Clearford, and UV Pure for the installation of the new UV units.

Forward Looking: Expanding Expertise and Sustainable Solutions

Clearford’s customized involvement at the Site underscores the company’s dedication to providing safe drinking water and environmental stewardship. Expanding operations in the federal sector demonstrates Clearford’s ability to meet federal standards and deliver sustainable solutions across diverse environments.
