The Power in Partnership: Enhancing Market Reach Through UV Pure and Lync By Watts Collaboration

US-based engineering division, Lync by Watts, partnered with UV Pure® Technologies, a Canadian manufacturer of advanced ultraviolet (UV) water disinfection systems, one year ago to introduce UV-H, a UV disinfection system designed to meet the growing demand for effective and efficient water treatment solutions. Both companies share a mission to deliver industry-leading water purification technologies that ensure reliable water for various applications and provide safe water, always™.

Unified Expertise

Lync, the engineering division of Watts North America, one of the largest water technology references in the world, fuses advanced water technologies with industry-leading engineering and manufacturing expertise to provide complete, cost-effective domestic hot water system solutions.

As a manufacturer of advanced ultraviolet water disinfection systems for commercial, industrial and municipal applications that serve communities worldwide, UV Pure’s mission is to advance water purification technologies that ensure safe and reliable water for all applications.

Strategic Partnership and Integration

Under an agreement of exclusivity, Lync has been integrating UV Pure Technologies’ Crossfire Technology™ into their water treatment skids since July 2023. The system, UV-H, is configurable up to 100 gallons per minute (GPM), making it versatile for potable water, reuse, and wastewater treatment. This advanced system effectively mitigates microbiological contamination and biofilm formation in both low- and high-flow commercial water heating and piping systems. By inactivating Legionella bacteria, the Lync UV-H system alleviates significant concerns related to occupant health and system metallurgy.

This strategic partnership enhances the capabilities and reach of both companies, delivering advanced and reliable water treatment solutions to a broader market. By combining UV Pure’s innovative UV disinfection technology with Lync’s engineering expertise, the UV-H system provides comprehensive solutions that meet the highest standards of safety and performance all while reducing potential serious health problems for building occupants

Crossfire Technology™ and Certifications

A UV Pure® patented innovation that ensures 360° UV light emission, Crossfire Technology, features an innovative dual-lamp elliptical reflector design, self-cleaning quartz sleeve, and smart sensors for on-board diagnostics and remote monitoring capabilities.

Certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 & NSF/ANSI 372 standards, the Lync UV-H system guarantees compliance with the highest safety and quality benchmarks. These certifications affirm that the system is safe for use in potable water applications and meets stringent drinking water system component criteria.

Addressing Microbiological Contamination

Microbiological contamination caused by fluctuations in residual disinfectant levels, water chemistry, and microorganism load have resulted in growing concern in commercial building water systems. The Lync UV-H system addresses these issues by providing a robust and reliable solution that ensures water safety and quality. With the Lync UV-H, you can count on safe water, always.

Efficient Maintenance and Operation

The Lync UV-H system is designed with user convenience in mind. It features automatic self-cleaning wipers and built-in purging mechanisms that prevent fouling of the quartz sleeve caused by minerals and biofilm. This reduces maintenance requirements and ensures the system operates at peak efficiency. Additionally, the UV lamps are conveniently located in the front cabinet, simplifying the replacement process and eliminating the need for maintenance clearance at the top and bottom of the system. This design innovation results in instant space savings and easier installation, making it user-friendly to all.

Simplifying Complexity

In today’s market, there is a pressing need for solutions that simplify the complexity of equipment and piping systems. The Lync UV-H system meets this need by offering a streamlined, easy-to-install and maintain solution that integrates seamlessly into existing or new water treatment systems. Its innovative design and advanced technology reduce the need for additional equipment and maintenance, making it a cost-effective choice for commercial applications.

As the demand for effective water treatment solutions continues to grow, the Lync UV-H system wired with UV Pure Crossfire Technology stands out as a leading option, delivering reliable performance and peace of mind to building owners and occupants alike.
