Engineering Assessments
Clearford engineers have the experience and knowledge for conducting Class Environmental Assessments (EA) required for water and wastewater systems. Class EA’s are required for municipal infrastructure projects to: assess the alternatives and their impact on the natural, social and economic environments; provide traceable decision-making; and provide opportunities for public and agency feedback.
Currently Clearford is being retained by a municipality to perform an EA for a proposed Septage Management Strategy. This project is being undertaken in anticipation of regulatory changes regarding the management of septage and hauled waste in Ontario. The project will provide the municipality with the necessary background studies and detailed engineering to produce a “shovel ready” design completed by Clearford.
Regulatory Approvals
Our engineering division assists clients with the design and approvals of water and wastewater upgrades, expansions, and new systems. We have extensive experience preparing and submitting Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECA) for wastewater systems, and Engineering Evaluation Reports (EER) for drinking water systems. Our team of engineers also have an outstanding working relationship with regulatory bodies across the province.
