Clearford continues to solidify working partners in India

Ottawa, Ontario – (February 25, 2010) – Clearford Industries Inc. (“Clearford” or the “Company”, TSX-V:CLI) today announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an Indian partner, the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Advisory (“CCCEA”). CCCEA is set up within India, with concentrated efforts around the City of Hyderabad, to pursue end to end interactions with clients, governments and industry associations to advise solutions in many areas; including Green Building Consultancy, Environmental Impact Analysis and Environmental Infrastructure Consultancy. Clearford believes that this relationship will allow for increased exposure of its Small Bore Sewer™ (SBS™) system within India. The Clearford approach offers many advantages specific to the Indian market. The SBS™ wastewater collection system can be constructed using local labour, which allows for even more benefit to the local area, as more of the invested capital is able to stay within the region that it is intended to aid. Furthermore, the final products of the system are clean potable water and bio-gas that can be used as fuel.

“We are very happy to note these far-reaching developments and alignments by Clearford. We also confirm that that there is a clear commonality of purpose and clarity of direction that both Clearford and CCCEA see in this mutual association to address a pressing need in what is a very untapped and growing market in India. This market is in need of solutions to enhance the availability of water to an increasingly urbanizing and demanding market and populace. We see a great association of mutual respect and collaboration in the days to come,” said Sanjay Gadhalay, CEO of CCCEA.

“Clearford is excited about the continuing progress that we are experiencing within the Indian market. With the alignment of Clearford with CCCEA, we feel that our interests are being properly represented by a firm with strong leadership, a track record of success and a goal that parallels ours,” said Bruce Linton, President of Clearford. He concluded, “We are excited about the future business that this understanding will ultimately lead to in the end.”

While Clearford believes that significant and near term opportunities exist for the Company’s solution, there can be no assurance that customer agreements will be reached or that such agreements will be profitable should they be implemented.
