Clearford Water Systems announces agreement to defer interest payment
Ottawa, Ontario – (June 11, 2020) – Clearford Water Systems Inc. (“Clearford” or the “Company”), (TSX-V: CLI), today announced that it has agreed with its lenders to defer interest payments which would otherwise be due until June 30th, 2020.
The deferral relates to its long-terms loans whereby interest payments on C$158,000 and US$1,116,478 which would otherwise be due.
The Company’s debt investors feel it is prudent to the preserve cash flows for operations during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that the Company can continue to provide uninterrupted services to its customers. As previously announced on March 23rd 2020, the Company continues to explore strategic opportunities to assist it in restructuring its capital structure which efforts have also been delayed by the recent pandemic.
